Paris Jackson hospitalized but OK

The 15-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson is physically fine after being taken to a hospital early Wednesday, an attorney for Jackson’s mother said.

Perry Sanders Jr. writes in a statement to The Associated Press that Paris Jackson is getting appropriate medical attention and the family is seeking privacy.

Fire and sheriff’s officials confirmed they transported someone from a home in Paris’ suburban Calabasas neighborhood for a possible overdose but did not release any identifying information or additional details.

The judges on “American Idol” definitely love somebody, and his name is Joshua Ledet.

While the panel lauded each of the five finalists remaining in the Fox singing competition, the judges once again reserved the most praise during Wednesday’s installment for the powerful 20-year-old gospel singer from Westlake, La.

Ledet wowed the panel during the 1960s-themed first round with The Temptations’ “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg,” and then nearly brought judge Jennifer Lopez to tears with his restrained rendition of the Bee Gees’ “To Love Somebody” during the second round of British pop tunes.

Broad St. in Lake Charles will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, April 25 due to repairs being made to the sewer system which will cause the water to be cut off to the building the entire day,

Facebook is considering filing its IPO documents on Wednesday, setting the stage for a highly-anticipated debut that may value the social-networking king at up to $100 billion, according to The Wall Street Journal.

McNeese State begins a two game home stand Wednesday when the Cowboys host Southeastern Louisiana in a Southland Conference basketball game.

Tipoff is 7 p.m. in Burton Coliseum and featured at the game will be $1 hot dogs.

As for the game itself, the Cowboys, who will also host Northwestern State on Saturday afternoon in a twinbill (Cowgirls play the Lady Demons at 1 p.m. and the Cowboy-Demon game will tipoff 30 minutes following), will be attempting to get back on the winning track after bowing to Texas State in their last appearance. Sun Storms May Slam Earth Wednesday

On Monday (Dec. 26), the sun unleashed a massive eruption of solar plasma known as a coronal mass ejection (CME). The CME’s fast-moving charged particles should squarely strike Earth’s magnetic field at about 3:20 p.m. EST (2020 GMT) Wednesday, give or take seven hours, according to the website Spaceweather.com.
