ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On April 8, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Vice detectives arrested Kari D. Johns, 38, 163 Summerwood Drive, Sulphur, after an investigation revealed she obtained controlled prescription medication by using forged prescription blanks.

An investigation revealed between November 2012 and January 2013, Johns obtained numerous prescription pills including Amphetamine Salts (CDS II), Hydrocodone (CDS III), and Carisoprodol (CDS IV) by utilizing numerous blank prescriptions from a local doctor. When the doctor, whose name was on the prescription, was contacted, it was revealed he did not authorize the prescriptions.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — In January, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Vice Division began an investigation after receiving a report regarding a 13 year old girl living in Calcasieu Parish receiving numerous nude images and sexually explicit messages via Facebook and text messages from a man she met online, later identified as Timothy L. Kelly, 38, 311 South Fifth Street, Jeannette, Pennsylvania.

After a month-long investigation, Judge Clayton Davis signed a warrant for Kelly’s arrest and the information was forwarded to Greensburg Police Department in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On July 17, detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Vice Division, along with the assistance of CPSO Warrants Division and Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies, located and arrested Cody M. Peloquin, 22, 304 N. Lightner Street, Iowa, after a two week investigation revealed he had sexually explicit conversations via cell phone and the internet with a 15 year old girl.

The investigation also revealed Peloquin sent several text messages to the girl containing inappropriate photographs of him.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On February 16, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Vice detectives arrested Kelli J. English, 35, Lake Charles, who was employed at a local dentist office, for obtaining CDS by fraud since June 2011.

The investigation revealed over the past 8 months, English called out numerous prescriptions for controlled medication to pharmacies under a family member’s name without the dentist’s authorization. View full article »
