Starks Native arrested for 5 Counts of Aggravated Incest

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — In September 2012, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from the Department of Child and Family Services regarding Clarence E. Sanderson, 74, 406 Gobblers Knob Road, Lufkin, Texas, formerly of Starks, having inappropriate sexual contact with a 7 year old male family member on numerous occasions in 2012. Sanderson lived in Starks at the time of the incidents.

After further investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Sanderson on January 30 and on February 16 he was arrested and booked into the Lufkin City Jail by Lufkin City Police Department.

CPSO ARRESTS TWO IN SULPHUR HOME BURGLARY, LOOKING FOR TWO MORE

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On January 1, at approximately 12:40 a.m., the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a single car accident at the intersection of Evangeline Highway and Second Street in Starks.

The preliminary investigation revealed the car driven by Alvin Hodges, 40, 4457 Edwards Street, Starks, was traveling westbound on Evangeline Highway and appeared to have crossed the center line, running off the road, striking a culvert and flipping the car which came to rest on the roof in the ditch. Hodges was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
