Hollywood spent 2012 proving the Mayans Right

Who knew that in the ancient Mayan calendar, they would have predicted so much that pointed to the end of the world? Like the exact date that Lindsay Lohan’s horrendous Elizabeth Taylor biopic “Liz & Dick” would air on Lifetime? That Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj’s egos would collide during “American Idol” auditions? That Donald Trump would act even more bizarrely than he did in 2011? And that Brad Pitt was even making a Chanel ad?

Seeing all that in their crystal ball, it’s understandable that the Mayans would have predicted doomsday in 2012. Little did they know that these celeb antics just pointed to yet another year in La-La Land.

Argentina makes Sex-Change surgery a Legal Right

Adults who want sex-change surgery or hormone therapy in Argentina will be able to get it as part of their public or private health care plans under a gender rights law approved Wednesday.

Senators approved the Gender Identity law by a vote of 55 to zero with one abstention and more than a dozen senators declaring themselves absent – the same margin that approved a “death with dignity” law earlier in the day.

If there was any doubt about Tim Tebow‘s ability to drive a passing offense at the NFL level, it most likely went away when the second-year quarterback made several big-time throws against a Pittsburgh Steelers defense that loaded up against the run in the wild-card win. That 29-23 upset over the Steelers was followed by a 45-10 rout in the divisional frame at the hands of the New England Patriotsin which Tebow regressed as a pure passer, most obviously because New England’s point total forced the Broncos to pass more often, and the Patriots’ defense knew it.
