On September 29 at approximately 2:00 a.m., a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Vehicle Crimes Unit detective observed a man, later identified as Jeffrey W. Hebert, 39, Moss Bluff, walking on Mark Lebleu Road in Lake Charles towards a truck that was parked in some brush.
When the detective approached Hebert and the truck, he observed a large amount of cut copper wiring and burglary tools in the bed of the truck. When questioned by the detective, Hebert confirmed he had stripped the copper wiring from several utility poles in the area. View full article »

Eric Scott Radio has just learned that on July 14, around 8:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a home on Claude Hebert Road in Lake Charles regarding a report of a burglary that occurred the day before.
When deputies arrived, they spoke with the victim who advised them his home was burglarized and a television, a 12 gauge shotgun and a .22 caliber rifle were stolen. The victim revealed that Patrick S. Meyers, 25, 25163 Highway 42, Holden, Louisiana, who is an acquaintance, had been staying at his home for a few days before the burglary. View full article »
