On September 29 at approximately 2:00 a.m., a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Vehicle Crimes Unit detective observed a man, later identified as Jeffrey W. Hebert, 39, Moss Bluff, walking on Mark Lebleu Road in Lake Charles towards a truck that was parked in some brush.
When the detective approached Hebert and the truck, he observed a large amount of cut copper wiring and burglary tools in the bed of the truck. When questioned by the detective, Hebert confirmed he had stripped the copper wiring from several utility poles in the area. View full article »
