Taking The Fun Out Of It

For some reason, things happen thru the years, and things that were once so fun, well just aren’t as exciting. For me personally, I LOVE Mardi Gras!!! But more than that, I LOVE my “King Cakes.”

However, in recent years, I have noticed that when you purchase a “King Cake” the baby is no longer hidden in the cake. I can vividly recall my sisters and I racing through a King Cake to find the baby. Every year, we anxiously awaited this time of year just so that we could get the cake, and compete to find the baby. Tradition has it, or should I say had it, that whomever found the baby in a given year, they were to buy the King Cake next year. And while we never really played up to that tradition, it was still fun to “try and find the baby.”

The Kardashian clan is getting bigger: Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are expecting their first child.

The rapper announced at a concert Sunday night that his girlfriend is pregnant. He told the crowd of more than 5,000 at the Ovation Hall at the Revel Resort in song form: “Now you having my baby.”

The crowd roared.

Kourtney Kardahsian and Kris Jenner also tweeted about baby news.

After much speculation and anticipation over the past year, the royal palace has confirmed that Prince William and Kate Middleton are expecting their first child.

An official statement was issued Monday announcing the news reads: “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news.”

The Jessica Simpson baby watch is finally over.

Simpson gave birth to a daughter named Maxwell Drew Johnson in Los Angeles on Tuesday, said publicist Lauren Auslander.

Maxwell weighed 9 lbs. 13 ounces.

Since announcing her pregnancy last Halloween over Twitter, Simpson posed nude for the cover of Elle magazine, shared her cravings like salted cantaloupe and pop tarts and joked about her excess of amniotic fluid on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
