ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On April 2 at approximately 2:00 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched after receiving a report of a possible vehicle burglary in progress.

When deputies spoke to the victim, he advised he observed a man, later identified as William K. Foy, 18, 796 River Bend Lane, Sulphur, was standing near his truck. When the victim confronted Foy, he fled on foot.

Moments later, deputies located and arrested Foy near the victim’s driveway. During further investigation, deputies discovered Foy was in possession of several items stolen from the victim’s vehicle.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On March 30, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched regarding a complaint of a suspicious pick-up truck at a home on Highway 109 in Vinton.

Upon arrival, deputies observed a truck matching the description with a utility trailer containing a washing machine, mattress, entertainment console, and a dolly, backed up to the porch of the home. Deputies also discovered the back door of the home had been forced open.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On March 18, at approximately 10:00 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a business on N. Post Oak Road in Sulphur in reference to a suspicious person.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered Stuart B. Cormier, 54, 2930 Highway 90 West, Lot # 14, Sulphur, with his truck and a 4-wheeler stuck in the mud on the business property.

Cormier was transported to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, where the investigation was turned over to detectives. When questioned by detectives, Cormier confirmed he was on the property stealing aluminum pipe and scrap metal from the business.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On March 19, at approximately 8:15 a.m., a detective with the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) conducted a stop on a minivan traveling eastbound on I-10 near Vinton for a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, the driver of the minivan, Delroy Clarke, 39, 4502 Red Lake Lane, Richmond, Texas, began to act suspiciously. After running the license plate of the minivan through NCIC, the detective discovered the minivan had been reported stolen in September 2012 through the Montgomery Alabama Police Department.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On March 4, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a local middle school after receiving a complaint from school officials regarding Belinda S. Blessing, 39, 384 Victoria Drive, Moss Bluff, physically abusing an 11 year old family member who is a student at the school.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered Blessing struck the victim in the face with a hair brush, causing severe bruising and swelling to her eye.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On March 14, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a home in Sulphur in reference to a burglary.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who advised when he returned home, he observed 3 juveniles, later identified as two 16 year old boys and a 15 year old boy, running behind his home. During further investigation, the victim discovered a safe located in his bedroom had been opened and a prescription bottle of hydrocodine pills were stolen along with two packs of cigarettes.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On March 13, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a home in Sulphur regarding a home invasion.

Upon arrival, deputies were advised John C. West, 42, 367 Highway 108 West, Sulphur, ex-boyfriend of the victim, beat on the front door of her home with a baseball bat then kicked the door off of the hinges and entered the home. Once inside, West went into the bedroom and began beating the bed where the victim and a 3 year old family member were sitting with the baseball bat.
