ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On February 28, at approximately around 2:30 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a convenience store on N. Cities Service Highway in Sulphur regarding a report of a vehicle driving off after stealing gas.

Deputies observed a vehicle matching the description driving westbound on I-10 near mile marker 21 and conducted a traffic stop. When deputies approached the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Roger D. Thomas, Jr., 34, 2112 Ellis Drive, Westlake, they detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his breath, as well as very slurred speech.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On January 19, at approximately around 8:30 p.m., a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling the area of N. Shattuck Street and Opelousas Street in Lake Charles and conducted a stop on a car driven by George Joseph, 61, 2001 6th Street, Lake Charles for a traffic violation.

When the deputy approached the car and spoke with Joseph, he detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his breath, as well as very slurred speech, and he appeared very unsteady on his feet. Joseph advised the deputy that he had been drinking prior to driving.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On Saturday, July 14, around 5:30 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a single car accident at the intersection of Route 66 and Highway 27 in DeQuincy.

Upon arrival, the deputy discovered the car appeared to have run off the road and into a ditch. When the deputy approached the car and spoke with the driver of the car, Christina M. Lynch, 47, 1378 Cooper Road, DeQuincy, he detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from her breath, along with slurred speech. Deputies also recovered an open alcoholic container from inside the car.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On June 19 around 7:00 p.m., a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling the area of Highway 27 North in Sulphur when he was flagged down in reference to a man who appeared to be intoxicated, later identified as Allen W. Robinson, Sr., 53, 1671 Sawmill Road, Dayton, Texas, beating on the gas pump at a nearby gas station.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On September 28 around 10:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the 2400 block of N. Flounder Street in Lake Charles in reference to a complaint regarding a man sleeping in a truck that was running and parked in the middle of the road.

Upon arrival deputies found the driver of the truck, Stephen A. Snider, 29, Lake Charles, passed out in the driver’s seat of the running truck with an open can of beer in his hand. Deputies also discovered several opened beer cans on the floor board of the truck. View full article »

Eric Scott Radio has learn that on July 29 around 7:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a store parking lot on Hwy 171 N in reference to a complainant who had followed a possible drunk driver who was swerving all over the road.

Upon arrival the deputy found the driver of the car, Ronnie J. Romero, 49, Moss Bluff, parked in his car with the car keys in his hand. View full article »
