ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On June 4, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Compliance and Awareness Unit (CAP Unit) arrested sex offender Randall J. Rougeau, 41, 629 Parish Barn Road, Iowa, after an investigation revealed he failed to renew and update his information on his identification card, along with his driver’s license, as required by law for all registered sex offenders.

Rougeau was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with failure to register as a sex offender.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — Calvin Jefferson, 41 years old, turned himself into the Calcasieu Correctional Center earlier this evening, May 8th, 2012, without incident.

The Lake Charles Police Department and several other law enforcement agencies assisted the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office in attempting to locate Mr. Jefferson.

​Mr. Jefferson was wanted in connection with a murder that occurred in St. Tammany Parish.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On March 9, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded in reference to shots fired inside a mobile home at 5003 Highway 14 East in Iowa.

When deputies arrived and spoke with the homeowner, Joleen J. Treadway, 41, they immediately detected a strong odor of chemicals coming from inside the mobile home. Once inside, deputies discovered several chemicals that were consistent with creation or operation of a clandestine lab. View full article »

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested Patrick C. Murphy, 41, 1172 S. Perkins Ferry Road, Moss Bluff, in connection with the burglary of The Drug Store in Moss Bluff on March 4.

CPSO investigation revealed Murphy entered the pharmacy after breaking the deadbolt on the front door, stole over $4,500 worth of narcotics medications, including approximately 7000 Hydrocodone tables, 700 Morphine tablets, 575 Oxycodone tablets, 575 Oxycontin, and 130 Soma tablets, and fled the scene in 41 seconds. ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On February 6, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a home on Tallow Road regarding a report of a burglary.

When deputies arrived, they spoke with the victim who advised between February 4 – 6, nearby residents Jackie Trahan, 41, Tyler J. Trahan, 18, a 15 year old boy,  Tammi G. Trahan, Joshua M. Adaway, 33, and Christopher B. Goins, 18, all of Lake Charles, were seen entering the home and removing items. View full article »

The owner advised between August 2011 and January 3, 2012, accounts payable employee Deanna S. Allen, 41, Lake Charles, used over $21,700 in company funds for personal use. View full article »

Benoit, 41, was pronounced dead this morning as a result of injuries he sustained in a head-on collision on Hwy. 27 (also known as Hwy. 1256) and Red Rose Dr. in Carlyss around 8:00 a.m. He was on duty at the time of the accident.
