The investigation revealed Crystal M. Ceasar, 26, Lake Charles, a family member of the child, had burned the child’s scalp with a flat iron and whipped the child with a hair brush, causing bruising to her arm and legs. View full article »
Officials identified Saturday the gunman who opened fire on a busy Hollywood street but were still searching for a motive behind the brazen daylight rampage, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Tyler Brehm, 26, was shot dead by police after he walked to the corner of Sunset and Vine streets early Friday morning and began firing shots at passing cars and bystanders. This morning at approximately 2:00 a.m., detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Vice Division conducted a stop on an vehicle near the 2900 block of Highway 90 in Sulphur for a traffic violation.
When detectives approached the vehicle to speak with the driver, later identified as John L. Runte, 26, Sulphur, they observed a bag of marijuana sitting on the center console of the vehicle. During further inspection of the vehicle, detectives also recovered .066 of powder cocaine, with an estimated street value of $400. View full article »
ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On September 14, shortly before noon, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Prison correctional officers discovered an inmate who was unconscious and appeared to be severely beaten. Medical personnel responded and transported him to a local hospital for treatment. The victim was subsequently transferred to a Lafayette hospital for treatment of neurological injuries, including head trauma, facial fractures, and contusions, and is currently in critical condition.
