ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On May 12, around 12:15 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a local casino hotel in reference to a 3 year old and a 9 month old child being left unattended in a hotel room for several hours.

When deputies arrived, they were advised the hotel operator received numerous calls from the 3 year old child staying in a room registered to family member, Kayla N. Barbery, 24, 1860 Arsene Road, Lake Charles.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On March 22, at 8:30 p.m., C.A.T. Team Sgt. Stuart Henderson conducted a stop on an SUV traveling east on I-10 near mile marker 12 for a traffic violation.

When Sgt. Henderson spoke with the driver of the SUV, Cornelius D. Warren, 36, 1220 Oak Avenue, Bogalusa, and passengers Dujuan J. Johnson, 30, 62198 N. 13th Street, Slidell, and Edward L. Smith, 24, 106 E. Cherrywood Lane, Pearl River, they began to act suspiciously. View full article »

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On February 10 at approximately 1:00 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded in reference to a report of domestic abuse.

When deputies spoke with the victim, she advised during a verbal altercation with Brian A. Woods, Jr., 24, Lake Charles, her boyfriend, Woods put his hands around her neck and began choking her.   After being able to escape from Woods, the victim fled in her car.  View full article »

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On September 8, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary and theft that had occurred at a local nightclub earlier that morning.

The investigation revealed while the victim was inside the nightclub, the front passenger window of her car that was in the nightclub parking lot had been shattered and her purse was stolen from inside the car. The victim immediately notified deputies who were working security at the nightclub, and the deputies began a search of the parking lot. During the search, deputies spotted a group of people in the parking lot next to the victim’s car who got into a Jeep and left. CPSO patrol quickly located the Jeep and initiated a traffic stop. CPSO ARRESTS MAN FOR BATTERY OF THE INFIRMED

Eric Scott Radio has learned that on July 29, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives were dispatched to a motel in Vinton regarding a battery on an elderly man.

CPSO ARREST SULPHUR MAN FOR B&T AT LOCAL CASINO HOTEL

On July 29, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a local casino hotel after a guest reported a laptop computer and other items had been stolen from their hotel room.

When deputies arrived, they reviewed video surveillance which captured a man, later identified as Joshua P. Lewis, 24, 18 Fowler Road, Lot # 112, Sulphur, entering the hotel room and stealing the items. Lewis was a former employee of the casino hotel and was terminated on July 28. View full article »
