ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On May 3, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a home on Third Avenue in Lake Charles in reference to a disturbance. The investigation revealed Ray A. Leger, 55, 1101 Third Ave., slapped a 79 year old family member in his face causing him to fall onto a couch. Leger was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. He was charged with battery of the infirmed. Judge Michael Canaday set his bond at $180,000.

After further investigation, it was also revealed on May 2 Leger had slapped the elderly family member causing him to fall onto the tile floor. On May 18, while still incarcerated, Leger was rearrested and charged with cruelty to the infirmed. Judge Clayton Davis set his bond at $50,000.
