ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On Friday, April 27, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a DWI checkpoint at the 4500 block of Highway 27 South in Carlyss to target individuals driving under the influence of alcohol and/or narcotics.
Eight-hundred and sixty-two (862) vehicles were checked; eight (8) field sobriety tests were administered; seven (7) citations were issued; and the following person was arrested for DWI:
Chad J. Moore, 40, 127 Andrew Young Road, Sulphur
The following citations were issued:
· two (2) for no seatbelt
· three (3) for no child restraint
· two (2) for expired motor vehicle inspection
Participating in this checkpoint were the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office; Louisiana State Police-Troop D; Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office; and Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
