ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On November 9, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a Moss Bluff home after receiving a complaint concerning the welfare of a 2 year old girl. Upon arrival, deputies observed the girl had a large bite mark on her arm which was extremely bruised.
During further investigation, detectives interviewed Hannah N. Nurse, 17, a family member of the child, and her boyfriend, Kristofer T. Granger, 18, both of Moss Bluff. Granger confirmed he bit the young girl, causing severe bruising on her arm, and also confirmed he bit her on the leg on a separate occasion.
Nurse advised detectives that she had also bitten the young girl on at least 2 separate occasions and confirmed that she had witnessed Granger bite the child on both occasions and failed to report the incidents.
Nurse and Granger were arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. Nurse was charged with three counts of cruelty to a juvenile. Granger was charged with two counts of cruelty to a juvenile.
Judge Wilford Carter set both of their bonds at $5,000 each.
