ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On Saturday, September 10, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a seatbelt checkpoint at the 600 block of Topsy Road in Gillis. As a result of the checkpoint, deputies checked 1115 vehicles and issued 24 citations.
Citations were given as follow:
No seatbelt – 10
Illegal window tint – 4
Expired motor vehicle inspection – 8
No motor vehicle inspection – 2
The following person was arrested for DWI:
Angelette A. Robin, 55, 5000 Leon Drive, Lake Charles
This checkpoint was funded by Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
