I am sure like most people, you have been hearing about the solar flares or storms happening on the sun! Well at 08:05 UT a powerful X-class solar flare erupted from active region 1263, causing some brief HF radio blackouts on the sun facing side of Earth.
X-class flares are large and bright and they are major events that can trigger planet-wide radio blackouts and long-lasting radiation storms.
